“What if that which brings about soul-filled passion and joy, wasn’t just a watered down, fleeting moment on the weekend to be treated as a luxury for suffering through the days, but a non-negotiable foundation upon which we design our lives?” -Unknown
Why Wild Woman?
Wild Woman Retreats seek to transform the perception of what it means to be a woman.
Now, more than ever, we are re-examining what conditioned and normalized societal expectations have done to our sovereignty. There is an awakening to come back to what has been lost. To begin the work of reclaiming, restoring, and honoring the feminine essence.
Wild Woman Retreats seek to facilitate and ignite this awakening. Without the pressure or false ideology to change, improve, or fix women. But rather to help women remember all that they already are.
“Feminism is not about making women strong. Women are already strong. It is about changing the way the world perceives that strength.”
As women, we often come to believe we are never enough or that we require something outside of ourselves. This pressure from our culture drains the life, passion, and power from our hearts. It stifles our joy. We forget we are meant to feel wildly alive and free. We are meant to feel unbounded joy.
Wild Woman Retreats provide the space, education, experience, and authentic community connection to help women reclaim who they really are. All while resetting and getting away from it all in beautiful locations around the world.
This is for the Wild Woman we forgot.
Join us for a week of remembering. Reclaim your wild. Reclaim YOU.
Reset and get away from it all in the beautiful, welcoming town of La Paz. La Paz is the capital of Baja California Sur, a Mexican state on the Baja California Peninsula. A peaceful, safe, sandy town located on the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez full of local art and culture.
Baja provides the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure amongst beautiful ocean backdrops, plenty of sunshine, largely secluded beaches, and a welcoming local culture.
We are excited to partner with Casa Tara, a boutique, eco-conscious hotel and resort with stunning ocean views, beach access, staff that become like family, and nourishing healthy meals.
Casa Tara’s Core Values:
This retreat includes 2 group adventures as well as free use of paddle boards, kayaks, bikes, and snorkel gear to be used at our leisure.
Whale Shark Swimming
Embark on an unforgettable whale shark swimming experience!! From early winter until late spring, whale sharks return from the cold waters of Alaska to the warmer ones of the Sea of Cortez. See these gentle giants up close in their natural habitat and get the chance to swim with them!
Right in front of Casa Tara, across the water, is a 16-mile-long Virgin island of approximately 35,000,000 acres named Isla Cerralvo. The landscape features beautiful arid desert flora and a vast extension of coral reef that will astonish you. Enjoy a private panga ride there to spend the day snorkeling, hiking, and exploring!

“Wildlife and the Wild Woman are both endangered species. Over time, we have seen the feminine instinctive nature looted, driven back, and overbuilt… it has been mismanaged like the wildlife and the wild lands. The spiritual lands of the Wild Woman have, throughout history, been plundered or burnt, dens bulldozed, and natural cycles forced into unnatural rhythms to please others. It is not by accident that the pristine wilderness of our planet disappears as the understanding of our own inner wild natures fades”
-Clarissa Pinkola Estes

Frequently Asked Questions
What airport do I fly into? La Paz International Airport (LAP). We will provide transportation from the Airport to the Hotel and back again. Once you secure your deposit we will send you information and guidelines for when to fly in, in order to coordinate your free airport pick-up. Please WAIT to book your flight until you receive this information from us!
You can also fly into the San Jose Del Cabo Airport (SJD) which requires a 2 hour shuttle to Casa Tara. San Jose Del Cabo tends to be a cheaper airplane ticket depending on where you are flying from. We we will provide a safe and private shuttle for this option as well for a small fee.
If you are flying from San Diego, we recommend flying out of Tijuana’s airport. Get dropped off/driven to the US side of the border, walk through customs, and pay the small fee to walk up and over the border (never actually stepping into Tijuana, the walkway drops you directly into the airport). Flights are around $200 roundtrip with Volaris out of the Tijuana airport.
Will I need a passport? Yes! A passport is required to travel in Mexico.
What am I supposed to pack? Once you send your deposit we will send you a complete packing list and further details regarding what to expect.
What if I’m newer to yoga? Perfect! Classes are all levels and we will have plenty of time to provide individual instruction and attention within our intimate setting. Both Genevieve and Anna have many years of experience guiding multiple abilities, body types, and ages through safe, challenging, fun, and supportive yoga classes. We would never ask you to do anything you aren’t ready for nor comfortable with. The goal is to empower you to feel good!
Is Mexico safe? Yes! We are staying in El Sargento, a small beach town 35 minutes outside of the main city of La Paz. There are very few tourists here so we will most likely have the beaches to ourselves! It is a very safe, quiet, and welcoming part of Mexico.
